6th GRADE BOX TOP CHALLENGE
Attention all 6th graders! Starting today, we will have a box top challenge for all 6th grade classes to collect as many box tops as possible. Ask your family, friends and neighbors to start collecting to help you out. Clip regular Box Tops or Bonus Box Tops certificates.
Each Academic Assist teacher will hang a clear bag in their classroom to hold the Box Tops that are collected. Bring in your Box Tops as you collect them.
We will check the progress on Friday, October 7th to determine the number of Box Tops collected. The final count will be on Friday, November 4th. If the 6th graders reach the goal of collecting 2,000 total Box Tops, they will be awarded a “Crazy Hair Day” on Monday, November 7th.
Join in the fun PLUS help raise money for the school!
7th and 8th graders will collect and deposit Box Tops in the large box outside of the office…. Don’t let the 6th graders collect more than you!
The Challenge is on! Contact Laura at email@example.com with questions.
Attention Parents: Allow your PTO to Make your Life Easier!
As a family with a middle schooler, we’ve all had a fabulous time selling, collecting money, and delivering goods for various fundraisers over the years. And while all of us have undoubtedly enjoyed these fun activities, your PTO would like to propose something new!
We would like for you to consider this no-hassle fundraiser, one that will certainly help us reach our goals this year for enriching the educational experience for students, staff, and faculty.
$15 I do not like to bake, so here is the money I would have spent buying those cupcakes.
$25 I do not want to bother my friends, family, and co-workers, so here is the money I would have spent buying wrapping paper and candles.
$50 I do not want to walk, swim, or run in any activity that has “-athon” in the title, so here is the money I would have spent on my child’s free t-shirt.
$75 I do not want to attend any fancy gala events, so here is the money I would have spent on a new outfit.
$100 I really wouldn’t have helped anyway, so here is $100 to forget my name!
I am making this donation to express my appreciation for having nothing to sell, buy, or do except fill out this form and send in my donation!
We hope you got a nice laugh from this! Kidding aside, we know how busy your life is, and we believe this type of fundraiser would be a win-win for all!
The PTO’s mission is to identify and support educational, artistic, and cultural needs and opportunities outside of traditional teaching methods, while striving to provide additional enrichment experiences.
Here are some of the wonderful things we have been able to accomplish with donation dollars:
Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) club supplies
Spero and Hummingbird kits for OLSD STEM sisters
Ohio Model of United Nations (OMUN) teacher chaperone fees for the yearly conference
Enrichment outings for 8th grade students unable to take the Washington DC class trip
Kinesthetic classroom teacher training
120 books for 6th grade IELA
Veteran’s Day breakfast
Second lobby monitor
